Dr Shaibya is an angel in disguise. She is more a counselor than a gynec, who is ready to hear you our without seeing how fast the clock is ticking.
She does not hurry you into medication - generally likes to take it slow.
Is not someone who will dish out antibiotics unless really necessary
Has a holistic treatment approach, inclusive of recommendations on yoga/exercise/pranayama/ayurveda and the likes
Gets her hand dirty by performing quick emergency procedures as needed in the hospital
For some of her really select patients, she is also seeing delivery of baby for pregnant women. Dr had stopped facilitating deliveries herself until some time back. Now I understand she is back to seeing them on limited cases.

Important Information:


  1. Consults in Acura Hospital, Koramangala, during mornings and evenings (on some days only). Morning consultations begin around 10 AM and go upto 1:30 PM. Evening consultations start around 6 PM and go upto 8:30 PM. No consultation on Sundays.
  2. Best to call in advance and take appointments. The hospital staff will advise days when doctor wont be available. Walk-in patients are also allowed, but preference is given to appointment patients. Sometimes, you may not get appointments for until a week.
  3. !!!!TIPS!!!!Doctor does a lot of psychological counseling for her women patients and even for couples. She also helps plan for pregnancy for complicated cases. All of this as part of her regular gynec consultations!!!!TIPS!!!
  4. Doctor is open to addressing emergency queries on her mobile phone.
  5. Doctor is best for treatment of PCOD, thyroid disorders, pregnancy planning, couples/women counseling
  6. Consultation fees varies depending on the time spent by the doctor with each patient. Varies from Rs.400 to Rs.600 per consultation.

I was looking for a place to celebrate my son's 5th birthday. Obviously, I had all the constraints well thought out - Low on cost, but can accommodate many guests, decent food and most of all, a place for kids to have some fun. I live in Koramangala, so finding a place which was low on cost was going to be a challenge. I had some 40-50 guests in mind, including about 20 children.
